Children's Climate Change Project

Children's Climate Change Project

Twenty members of the Children’s Parliament (MCPs) took part in the Children’s Climate Change Project in the summer of 2008, along with supporting adults. The children came from Children’s Parliament groups in the Western Isles, Fife, Edinburgh and South Ayrshire and were aged between 9 and 14 years old.

As part of their project the MCPs engaged in learning and discussion in their home communities and attended a climate change camp where they could engage in the global debate on climate change and the national debate on the Scotland’s Climate Change Bill. The mural, produced by the children, captures their views.

The Children’s Climate Change Project was brought together by WWF Scotland, Children’s Parliament and Children in Scotland with support from Scottish Government and the Scotland’s Commissioner for Children and Young People.
